A shot of my Sister Marion and her daughter Azra during a recent trip to Garretstown for a spot of Surfing. I must say, as cold as she was, Azra was very brave in the water and did very well surfing.  Mar was equally as brave and got on really well at the surfing too!! 🙂

Hmmm, someone has an issue with someone else!

This is the first in a series of shots from the World Wide Photo Walk on Saturday July 18th. Gary and I took part in two walks, one in Limerick, run by Kevin. And the other in Adare.

Nice fella though, he posed for everyone on the walk!

Class 4 Relic

Class 4 Relic

Jul 8.

As everyone around the world knows, there is a “Holy Stump” in the grounds of a church in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick. This was considered to be newsworthy by the BBC, SKY News and word has spread as far as Australia and the US. See the Irish Independent’s coverage here.

The image above is the crowd of believers gathered around the Holy Stump. Below, my shot of the stump itself… I just couldn’t get near it with the crowds.

Me? I just don’t see it to be honest. Not alone that, but using the Father Ted system of rating religious relics, I’d say it isn’t upto the standard of a Class II relic like “The Holy Stone of Clonrichert”… I reckon it’s only a Class IV relic. And I’m being generous at that.
