Donal welding – one from a set I did for a website a few weeks back.
I was out for a walk at lunch time recently, a beautiful Spring day in Limerick. I spotted this rower leaning back and taking in the sun after what must’ve been a fairly tough session. When he had a bit of rest, he took off again. Apart from the birds, there was no noise – a great day for a bit of time alone in the middle of the Shannon.
One from the archives. Taken at the Limerick Tunnel open day last June (2010). The newly built tunnel under the river Shannon was opened for the public to walk for one day before it was opened to traffic. Kevin, Barry and I went along for the walk. I forgot I had processed this one and just found it today – with travel still very much on my mind, I thought I’d post it.

Very much like yesterday’s photo. I prefer this one myself – still, nothing great. Ideas? Opinions? Comments?
The sign that welcomes visitors to Ireland outside Shannon Airport – reflected perfectly in the water logged grass below.
A big thank you to the nice chap in Air Lingus Air Cargo who was kind enough to let me park in their car park while I ran across the road to get this shot!
