Dec 7.

Another hard frost last night. This is how the frost formed on the spoilerof the five (absolutely essential for downforce on a 1.8 Ton Diesel Touring). You can only see a hint of red showing through.

I’m turning a corner…

Sep 20.

I don’t mean I’m turning a corner in my life… I mean literally driving around a corner at Punches Cross, here in Limerick. The camera was mounted on a superclamp with double ball head, on the roof rail of the five. I actually can’t claim this one as my own, because technically Kev pressed the button! I did have an input (the camera, mount, car, diesel and driver), but Kev took the photo.

Unfortunately this has given me a taste for rig shots… if anyone feels like donating some money to the fund, you know how to contact me!And if anyone has a spare 10-20mm lens going cheap – I know of a good home for it!! 😉

Thanks to Kev for the advice and generally putting expensive bad ideas in my head!

Taken in the Clare Glens, this is a crop of a much larger photo – desaturated. I like the result – but then again, I’m easy. To my eye  it looks like brush strokes on a canvas. Something different for a change!

Rock pool

May 11.

Kevin was going to beautiful Inch Beach in Co. Kerry today and was kind enough to let me tag along (Thanks Kev!). Great evening for taking a few photos. Unfortunately I discovered exactly how dirty the sensor in my camera is and this is the only shot of use – a rock pool at one end of the beach. When I say rock pool, I actually mean puddle. I thought the colours were nice and I liked the textures and details in the rocks. On the down side, it’s nearly impossible to tell what the image is unless you’ve been told – it may have to be filed under “A” for Abstract.

On a side note, I’ve been finding it very difficult to take the general recession related misery that seems to be getting everyone down these days – especially since coming home from Australia. I don’t listen to the news any more – ignorance is bliss. For anyone that is bored, broke, depressed, furious with government/bankers…. just go to the beach the next fine day, relax (there’s not a lot you can do about the situation anyway) and ignore it all. It won’t cost a penny.
