The second and final shot in the series of objects from around the house – thought this little statue might be a nice candidate for a little bit of light painting. This was a little trickier than I thought it would be due to the fact that the surface is shiny.
Got my new glass pippettes in the post today… very exciting. €2 for twelve of them. Ideal for various shots that involve drops of water… like this one!! This isn’t exactly how I thought this might work out. I’ll have to give it another shot on some black card instead of the arm of the couch. Will also need to sort out a decent light (possibly a flash) and a macro lens of some sort.
This looks very dark on one of my monitors and very bright on the other…. both have been calibrated. 😐 Can someone let me know whether it looks bright/dark? Thanks!
Another shot from the Holy Trinity Abbey in Adare, Co. Limerick. Not a great shot this – I think I’ve taken photos of all the stained glass windows here this year, but none of the huge non-stained glass windows.
A shadow cast from the iron work at the back of the main Altar at the Holy Trinity Abbey in Adare. The Abbey is believed to have been constructed sometime between 1226 and 1230. Making it around 780 years old! It has been restored a number of times over the years.
The second in a series of shots on what makes a BMW a BMW. A few design characteristics that are on every BMW you’ll see on the roads today.
Second: Kidney Grill – Nose
The third in a series of shots on what makes a BMW a BMW. A few design characteristics that are on every BMW you’ll see on the roads today.
Third: The Hip Line
Possibly a feature of the newer cars (from the eighties), but it is visible on some of the older cars. The Hip line is a line that runs from just behind the indicator on the front wing – pierces the front wheel arch then emerges again just behind the wheel arch and runs to the back of the car above the rear wheel arch. This helps give the appearance that the car runs Nose down, which isn’t always the case.
I was happy enough with this shot – considering it was done with nothing but an led torch!
