A lot going on in this picture. On the left is my fathers pride and joy – the ‘Blue Avenger’ – a Hillman Avenger. On the right are two legendary engines. In the background, the ‘old’ 1600 BRM engine and in the foreground, the ‘new’ 2 litre BRM engine. That 1600 sounds like nothing else I’ve ever heard – that car and that motor drive like nothing else I’ve ever driven. Since this photo was taken, the 1600 ran into a spot of bother and is being rebuilt. The 2.0l had issues with a coolant leak – also on the road to being sorted hopefully. Fingers crossed, we’ll get the car out for a run again soon.
Another great rugby weekend in Cardiff. Shame about the result on the day. But to get to see to quarter finals was great. Great times with great friends… a great adventure for a bunch of grown children!
A little bit of in car from Sunday at the Knockalla hillclimb, hosted by Donegal Motorclub. Huge thanks to all the marshals who stood out in the awful conditions on the Saturday. Without you, there would be no hillclimbing!
After years of building custom themes for my site, I have just switched the site theme to Twenty Thirteen – a new theme that ships with WordPress 3.6. I am loving it so far. I think I might just keep it! 🙂
Although I do have to go back through my old posts to select the post format for each one as the bulk post update feature doesn’t support formats. 🙁
I was down at the local Iron Works a few days ago to get a few photos for their new website. It was fantastic to see such skill and craft in my home town. I think I appreciated it even more because it is so far removed from what I work at on a daily basis.
