Couldn’t get back to sleep last night after I got three calls at 3.30 am – got out of bed at 5.30 and went into Limerick to take a few shots. Most shots were slightly out of focus, not entirely sure why – probably my tired eyes. I was also wearing my glasses when shooting – which I don’t normally do.
Sunlight falls on the Shannon Estuary. If you look at the land in the background, you can see a tiny structure on the right hand side of the photo – that’s the control tower of Shannon Airport! Taken from Ringmoylan Pier.
This milestone is on the path by the Fisherman’s Cottages on the banks of the Shannon in UL. I didn’t realise Limerick and Killaloe were that close to each other (seeing as it’s at least a thirty minute drive on a good day!).
