Now, I love going sideways – mostly in the car, occasionally on the lawn mower (a long time ago). But it was only at a BLMRA demo in Charleville that I realised exactly how funny it looks!

Sunlight falls on the Shannon Estuary. If you look at the land in the background, you can see a tiny structure on the right hand side of the photo – that’s the control tower of Shannon Airport! Taken from Ringmoylan Pier.
I haven’t seen this bridge for a while now – it’s still under construction outside Waterford. When I stopped to take this shot, I wondered how many more projects like this will we see in Ireland over the next ten years? Not many at all, I’d say.
This shot of an old crane on the Quays in Waterford is a combination of five different shots stiched together in PTGui. When stiched together, it was distorted fairly badly, I attempted to correct this in photoshop. As you see I wasn’t very successful, but it was worth trying!
Notes for the next time… stand a little further away and get the whole thing in one shot!
Saw this image of a child in Waterford. I don’t know what it’s about, but it’s just not right.
I think these metal frames are either used to hold pots (i.e. Lobster pots) or to anchor them in place. Can anyone enlighten me?
