The Transition

Jun 25.

… from a left hander to a right hander. It’s all about the center of gravity!

Now, I love going sideways – mostly in the car, occasionally on the lawn mower (a long time ago). But it was only at a BLMRA demo in Charleville that I realised exactly how funny it looks!

No. 5, whoever you are, well done!

You don’t see too many of these around these days – very rare! More info on Lagonda here.

Sunlight falls on the Shannon Estuary. If you look at the land in the background, you can see a tiny structure on the right hand side of the photo – that’s the control tower of Shannon Airport! Taken from Ringmoylan Pier.

Is this the end?

Jun 19.

I haven’t seen this bridge for a while now – it’s still under construction outside Waterford. When I stopped to take this shot, I wondered how many more projects like this will we see in Ireland over the next ten years? Not many at all, I’d say.

Waterford Quays

Jun 18.

This shot of an old crane on the Quays in Waterford is a combination of five different shots stiched together in PTGui. When stiched together, it was distorted fairly badly, I attempted to correct this in photoshop. As you see I wasn’t very successful, but it was worth trying!

Notes for the next time… stand a little further away and get the whole thing in one shot!

Saw this image of a child in Waterford. I don’t know what it’s about, but it’s just not right.

When the tide came back in, the Ewe II looked to be in much better shape.

Jun 15.

I think these metal frames are either used to hold pots (i.e. Lobster pots) or to anchor them in place. Can anyone enlighten me?
