May 6.

A shot of Desmond Castle in Adare at dusk. Unfortunately, this isn’t how the photo turned out originally – it’s my first attempt at creating a HDR image (a combination of multiple exposures to get the best of the light that is available at the time of shooting). I used Photomatix to put the three exposures together. I then removed three dust spots (the sensor in my camera is getting a little grimey) and tried to remove some noise from the image.

And the result? Erm, it’s not very good. Partly because I can’t trust the colour output of my monitors (they’re both different). But mostly because I’ve never done anything like this before and I don’t have a clue what I’m doing!
